💥 The Marvels Reviews
Personal Review
I walked out of the theater feeling like I had just watched a bunch of stuff happen with no real purpose. The action was okay, but the story felt rushed. Kamala Khan was a bright spot, though, and I liked seeing Goose being extra flerken-y. Ultimately, I don’t think it added much to the overall MCU narrative. There were some attempts at humor but missed the mark. Overall, the movie felt disjointed, like several different ideas were crammed into one short film. While it entertained me to some extent, I probably won’t be watching it again anytime soon.

Professional Reviews
- Variety: “A messy and disjointed movie with not much to offer rather than annoying, dreadful humor and some few flashy action scenes. It certainly feels like homework for the MCU as it struggles to keep a hook in something after the Infinity Saga.
- The Hollywood Reporter: “While the leads have amazing chemistry… They did not skimp on the action scenes… the visual effects, they are solid better than in the trailers. However, the movie still suffers from what is a constant Marvel problem regarding most of their villains.
- Collider: “The Marvels felt more like a ‘filler’ or a preparation / setup to what has to come in the future of Marvel Cinematic Universe. The post credits scene(s) are the bridge to the future of MCU.
Audience Reactions
Iman Vellani’s portrayal of Kamala Khan brings infectious energy and charm, making her a standout.: Audiences enjoyed the dynamic between the three leads and the overall lightheartedness of the film, but many felt the plot and villain were weak.
Overall Consensus: A mixed bag. While some viewers enjoyed the fun interactions and action, many found the plot and villain lacking, contributing to a generally mediocre reception.
