The Unearthing of Ivan Ooze

During a construction project in Angel Grove, Bulk and Skull stumble upon a mysterious, giant egg. Unbeknownst to them, this egg is the prison of Ivan Ooze, a powerful and malevolent being who was imprisoned by Zordon thousands of years ago. Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa, sensing a powerful energy, investigate and release Ivan, hoping to use him to defeat the Power Rangers.

Once freed, Ivan Ooze immediately sets out to exact revenge on Zordon. He invades the Power Rangers’ Command Center, incapacitates Alpha 5, and critically damages Zordon’s energy tube. Okay, I will admit I had a blast with this as a kid! The new suits were super cool and Ivan Ooze was a fantastic villain. The plot is cheesy and the writing is terrible, but Power Rangers wasn’t exactly high art to begin with! It’s a fun, nostalgic trip and worth watching if you want to relive the 90s, wire-fu and all. Still get a little thrill when I hear ‘Go Go Power Rangers!’
