💥 Beowulf Reviews
Personal Review
Okay, so I went in expecting a serious epic, but it’s honestly kind of campy and over-the-top. The visuals are insane, especially the whole Grendel’s Mother scene – Angelina Jolie as a gold-skinned temptress? Whoa! But Ray Winstone’s accent kept pulling me out of it, haha. Still, the dragon fight was epic enough to make up for the weirdness. I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece, but it was a fun, crazy ride!

Professional Reviews
- IMDb: “Visually stunning but with a questionable story. The animation is incredible, the action is amazing, the score is uplifting, and the performances are very good. The characters are well developed. The accents are at times questionable, but the movie was a really good fun ride for adults of all ages.
- IMDb: “This movie is the worst piece of garbage I’ve ever sat through on the screen. I did catch a little snooze, so I won’t pretend to review the plot. I just did not care. I experimented with taking off the 3D glasses to see if the 3D was a distraction. I disliked this movie so much, that I didn’t care if it was blurry or not.
- IMDb: “This film has impressive special effects and would be okay as an adventure fantasy but it should not be marketed as the epic poem. Also it has been given the wrong rating and should be an R. Grendel’s mother was not a gold painted, nude,Barbie doll in stiletto heels.Beowulf killed the witch he did not have sex with her.The dragon was not Beowulf’s son and had no connection with the witch
Audience Reactions
