💥 Beverly Hills Cop III Reviews

Personal Review

Okay, so I love Eddie Murphy, but this one was…rough. The first two ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ movies were classics, but this one felt like it was missing something. Putting it in a theme park seemed like a good idea, but it just didn’t click. I did laugh a few times, especially with Serge back, but overall, it felt like a step down. Still watchable, but don’t expect the same magic as the originals.

Professional Reviews

  • Los Angeles Times: “While Eddie Murphy’s charm is undeniable, ‘Beverly Hills Cop III’ feels like a watered-down version of its predecessors. The shift to a theme park setting offers some visual flair, but the plot is thin and the humor lacks the sharp wit of the original.
  • Variety: “The amusement park setting is intriguing, but the film fails to capitalize on its potential. It’s more of a series of action sequences strung together, missing the camaraderie and sharp writing that made the original so memorable.

Audience Reactions

Eddie Murphy’s performance still shines.: Even though the movie has its flaws, most agree that Eddie Murphy’s charisma carries the film, making it watchable despite the weak plot.

Overall Consensus: ‘Beverly Hills Cop III’ is considered the weakest of the trilogy. While Eddie Murphy’s performance is praised, the plot, humor, and overall execution fall short compared to the original movies.
