💥 Cockneys vs Zombies Reviews

Personal Review

I went into this movie expecting a cheesy B-movie, and while it definitely has its moments, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! The humor is very British, but it landed perfectly with me. Seeing Alan Ford as a zombie-slaying grandpa was pure gold. The action was over-the-top and gory, which is exactly what I wanted. There’s a scene with a Zimmer frame that had me in stitches. Definitely a fun watch if you’re into zombie comedies.

Professional Reviews

  • Bloody Disgusting: “While not revolutionary, ‘Cockneys vs Zombies’ is a riotous blend of British humor and zombie gore. The film’s strength lies in its charismatic cast and relentless pace, offering a fun, if somewhat predictable, ride for genre fans.
  • Killer Reviews: “As a crowd pleaser, the film delivered. The film attempts at witty humor, the movie goes for the jugular in its blood splatter. Much of the red stuff comes courtesy of CGI but as a whole, ‘Cockneys vs Zombies’ is a fun movie.
  • IMDB User Review: “So – you liked Shaun of The Dead? The mix of drama, deadpan comedy and in-jokes? You will LOVE Cockneys vs Zombies! There’s nothing not to like – great story, well-developed characters, loads of laugh-out-loud moments….

Audience Reactions

The hilarious Cockney rhyming slang and over-the-top characters made the movie memorable.: Viewers loved Alan Ford’s performance as the hard-as-nails grandad and the film’s self-aware humor.

The zombie baby scene and the zimmer frame chase were unexpected highlights.: People agreed it was a good blend of comedy and gore, though maybe a bit too reliant on CGI.

Overall Consensus: A fun, albeit flawed, zombie comedy with a heavy dose of British humor and over-the-top gore that delivers exactly what the title promises.
