🍿 Fantastic Four: Detailed Plot Synopsis
The Teleporter Project
Childhood friends Reed Richards and Ben Grimm work on a teleporter. Their work catches the eye of Dr. Franklin Storm, who invites Reed to join the Baxter Foundation. At the foundation, Reed teams up with Sue and Johnny Storm, as well as Victor Von Doom, to complete the ‘Quantum Gate.’

The Journey to Planet Zero
After the Quantum Gate is finished, the group finds out they are not going to be able to be the first ones to teleport to Planet Zero. Reed, Johnny, Victor, and Ben decide to use the machine themselves. They are transported to Planet Zero, an alternate dimension filled with strange energies. While there, Victor tries to grab some of the green lava, causing the ground to start to erupt beneath them.

The Accident and New Abilities
Sue pulls the four back to Earth as Victor falls into the collapsing landscape. Upon return, the machine explodes, and Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben are all altered. They each begin to develop incredible abilities. Reed can stretch, Sue becomes invisible and can create force fields, Johnny can engulf himself in flames, and Ben transforms into a rock-like creature.

Government Custody and Reed’s Escape
The government takes custody of the four and begins to study their abilities. Reed feels responsible for the accident and escapes to try to find a cure for their condition. He creates a special suit to help him control his abilities while on the run.

Victor’s Return and Revenge
A year later, Reed is found by Sue and captured by Ben. Reed is taken back to Area 57, where Dr. Allen offers to help him find a cure if he will help rebuild the Quantum Gate. While exploring Planet Zero, Allen’s team finds Victor, now fused to his spacesuit with new telekinetic abilities. Victor is brought back to Earth, but, Victor is insane and seeks the world’s destruction. He kills Allen and Storm.

💥 Fantastic Four Reviews
Personal Review
Honestly, I went in expecting the worst, and I still walked out disappointed. The first half had some potential, setting up a darker, grittier origin story. But then the whole thing just falls apart. The characters feel flat, the action is rushed and uninspired, and the ending is just…there. It’s a shame because the cast is talented, but they couldn’t save this mess. I found myself checking my watch way too many times during what felt like an eternity. I really wanted to like it, but it’s easily the worst superhero movie I’ve seen in a long time.
