💥 Interceptor Reviews

Personal Review

Honestly, I went into this expecting a train wreck, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It’s definitely a B-movie, full of clichés and unbelievable action sequences, but I found it somewhat entertaining in a ‘turn your brain off’ kind of way. It’s not going to win any awards, but if you need something to watch on a lazy afternoon, it could be worse. I actually found the fighting pretty intense, it kept me on the edge of my seat.

  • Who would enjoy:
    • “Fans of action movies”
    • “Viewers interested in female-led action roles”
    • “People who enjoy movies with a ‘Die Hard’ style plot”
  • Content warnings ⚠:
    • “Intense violence and action sequences”
    • “Some strong language”
    • “Brief scenes depicting the aftermath of violence”
    • “Themes of sexual harassment”

Professional Reviews

  • IMDb: “Granted, from this 2022 action movie’s cover/poster, then I was expecting that I would be in for a low budget action movie. But I figured, since this was actually on Netflix, that I might chance it and watch what writers Matthew Reilly and Stuart Beattie had to offer. This movie was actually surprisingly good. This felt and looked like a good old 1980s and 1990s action movie. So if you enjoyed the action movies of the 1980s and 1990s, then you most certainly will also enjoy “Interceptor”.
  • IMDb: “The acting is so so bad, the plot, script, all of it is just so so terrible. Netflix, for this I paid an increase? So close to cancelling my subscription. This is like a badly written story that’s had a satire made about it and then a movie made about the satire but unironically.

Audience Reactions

Some viewers found it a fun and mindless action movie, reminiscent of older action flicks.: Entertaining if you don’t take it too seriously.

Many viewers criticized the movie for poor acting and unbelievable plot elements: Plot holes and cringeworthy scenes abound

Overall Consensus: Opinions are very divided. Some find it an enjoyable, if cheesy, action flick, while others consider it poorly made and uninspired.
