💥 So Undercover Reviews

Personal Review

Okay, so I went into this expecting a total train wreck, but it was surprisingly…okay? Miley Cyrus isn’t winning any Oscars here, but she’s actually pretty likable. The plot is ridiculous, but in a fun way, and I found myself genuinely curious about who the bad guy was. It’s perfect for a night when you just want to switch your brain off and enjoy some mindless entertainment, especially during the makeover scene. I surprisingly enjoyed the scenes with her and her dad more then anything else, I wish there was more of that.

Professional Reviews

  • IMDb: “While Cyrus is energetic, this predictable ‘Miss Congeniality’ clone lacks originality. Lame dialogue and obvious red herrings make it a long slog. Only recommended for undemanding teen viewers; others should steer clear. Direct-to-DVD release was justified, as it adds little to the genre.
  • Common Sense Media: “‘So Undercover’ is okay for young kids that still like Miley Cyrus but, anyone older I think this is a waste of time. Miley Cyrus is not a good actress, plain and simple.

Audience Reactions

Viewers enjoyed the surprising plot twists and found the movie funny and entertaining.: Many found it better than expected, a lighthearted movie to watch when wanting something easy and mindless.

Overall Consensus: While not a cinematic masterpiece, ‘So Undercover’ offers a decent, lighthearted, and sometimes humorous experience, especially for fans of Miley Cyrus and teen spy comedies. It is better than average but riddled with plot holes and overused stereotypes.
