💥 Solo: A Star Wars Story Reviews

Personal Review

I was excited about seeing young Han’s adventures and how he became the smuggler we all love. The beginning felt a bit rushed, but once they got into the heist, things picked up. Glover’s Lando was the highlight! I wish they had given Emilia Clarke more to do; her character arc felt incomplete. It’s a fun Star Wars story, though not the most essential.

Professional Reviews

  • Variety: “Despite moments of fun, ‘Solo’ feels like a paint-by-numbers prequel, lacking the spark of the original films. Alden Ehrenreich tries hard, but doesn’t quite capture Ford’s charisma.
  • The Hollywood Reporter: “A serviceable but uninspired Star Wars adventure. Donald Glover steals the show as Lando, but the plot struggles to find its own identity within the established lore.

Audience Reactions

Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian was the absolute best part!: Most viewers praised Glover’s portrayal of Lando and the fun action sequences, but many felt Ehrenreich didn’t fully capture Han Solo.

Overall Consensus: Mixed reviews. While some enjoyed the adventure and performances (especially Donald Glover), others felt the movie was unnecessary and didn’t fully capture the essence of Han Solo.
