Okay, so I went into this expecting maybe a slight improvement over the first Suicide Squad, but WOW. James Gunn absolutely killed it! The action was insane, the jokes actually landed, and I genuinely cared about these crazy characters. Polka-Dot Man’s scenes were surprisingly emotional, and King Shark just stole every scene he was in. The whole Starro sequence was bonkers in the best way. Definitely one of my favorite superhero movies in recent years. Also props for the killer soundtrack! If you love superhero comedies, this is it.
