💥 Transformers: Age of Extinction Reviews

Personal Review

Okay, so I went in expecting explosions, and I got them! Lots of them! Mark Wahlberg was a decent addition, but honestly, the story felt stretched thin. The Dinobots were cool, but underused, and the whole ‘government hunting Autobots’ thing felt like a retread. I still had fun turning my brain off and watching robots smash each other, but this isn’t winning any awards.

    • “Viewers who enjoy action-packed CGI spectacles.”
    • “Those interested in science fiction and robot battles.”

    • “Sci-fi combat with robots.”

    • “Occasional strong language.”

Professional Reviews

  • Rotten Tomatoes: “Transformers: Age of Extinction is the worst Transformers movie so far, as it is overlong, plodding and repetitive.
  • IGN: “Age of Extinction is another loud and incoherent Michael Bay film that’s long on spectacle and short on brains.
  • Empire: “More metal-crunching robot action, zero characterisation and a bum-numbing runtime.

Audience Reactions

The visual effects and robot designs are impressive.: The action sequences and CGI are the only redeeming qualities.

The Dinobots are a highlight, even if they don’t get enough screen time.: Dinobots were awesome, but should have been featured more prominently.

Overall Consensus: Visually impressive but ultimately shallow, with an overlong runtime and a convoluted plot. The action is fun, but the story leaves much to be desired.
