💥 Van Helsing Reviews
Personal Review
I was completely blown away by the visual spectacle of Van Helsing! The CGI is over the top, but I thought it was so cool to see Dracula, Frankenstein’s monster, and a werewolf all in one movie. I loved how Hugh Jackman channeled action-hero vibes while Kate Beckinsale kicked butt in that corset. The humor from Carl (David Wenham) was a welcome addition as well. The monster designs were memorable. It’s not perfect, but I would watch it again just for the action and the crazy monster mash!

🛠️ Behind the Scenes
- “Stephen Sommers deliberately chose to avoid the style of transformations from other werewolf films, where the character would usually grow hair as part of the change. Instead the decision was made to have the character rip his skin off to reveal the werewolf form underneath, going with the idea that the beast ‘comes from within’.”
- “The Universal logo turns black and white, then catches on fire, fading into a torch carried by an angry villager.”
